My name is Ava James Filan and I am from Los Angeles. Although, New York city has become my home. I am at NYU Gallatin studying an interdisciplinary approach to literary modernism, political psychology and culture, critical and visual theory. Some of my writing can be found on NYU Gallatin’s Confluence, which features student writing, art, and research.

Photography has always been a part of my life and my work is made up of the places and people I love. I mainly shoot on 35mm film.
