Embodied Magazine

Embodied Magazine

EMBODIED is NYU Gallatin's arts and culture magazine covering art, politics, style, and society. The magazine embraces the Gallatin School’s interdisciplinary approach to culture, openly exploring style and art, with the belief that doing so heightens understanding, and does not diminish intellect. And aims to not only explore New York City, but voice the distinct identities that exist within our community.

I have the privilege of being on EMBODIED’s editorial board as the photography editor.

Cover-spring 2025

Our theme for this spring was the Greek goddess, Artemis. We wanted to portray beauty through the natural world. Fierceness, divinity, femininity and matriarchy are all present as well as the undertones and hues of green and pink. Creative director Aria Kothari and I got to go around the Lower East Side and Brooklyn with our lovely model Megh Basu, dressed in angelic white.

Cover-spring 2024

The magazine’s theme fort this year was disembodied; the disembodiment of the individual, the self, the woman. I was able to cultivate this into reality with my friend and model, Sami Bates and with our visionary and creative director, Aria Kothari
